e malamig e

maybe it's the hormones, or maybe it's just the season.
but yesterday was quite an emo day.

normal days do not consist of texting friends seen just last week and telling them they are missed. normal days do not consist of letting the waterworks free at the sight of the words "kung problema yan pwede mo share sakin ;)". normal days do not consist of thinking deeply about a love life-less status. normal days do not consist of replaying every single kembolar ever experienced and wondering why they didn't work.

does the holiday season really do this?

it doesn't have to, right? i mean, sure, Christmas would be lovely if you had someone to share it with that didn't have genes with at least 25% similarity as yours, or even those without similarity but are called "tita", "tito", "ninang", "ninong", "friend", etc, etc. But is it really necessary?

seriously, i've thought about this year after year (excluding the years with active kembolar status. hehehe) and i've always come up with the same cliche answer that doesn't seem to make me feel any better.

what is the answer? ayoko nga ishare! hahahaha :p

anyhoos. then again, Christmas shouldn't really be about people, right? it's about a Savior who baby-fied Himself and came out all bloody and tiny and crying from His earth mom's reproductive system in a dirty, smelly, unsanitary stable filled with animals of all sorts and sizes who was visited by some unknown shepherds and three wise guys who followed an inexplicably large star shining as if it owned the entire night sky. and let's not forget the battalion of flying creatures in glowing white attire with halos and wings (duh, kasi nga flying) singing of the baby Savior's birth.

ah yes, humility in its purest form.

so Christmas is about being saved. and Christmas is about being humble. and Christmas is all about that kind of love that makes someone want to sacrifice something/someone so important to oneself.

so this also means Christmas is about forgiving. and that Christmas is about sharing. and that Christmas is about sacrificing. and Christmas is all love and no war.

so, yeah, all these things kinda just overshadow the dread of a yet-again-cold Christmas and the blah feelings elicited by the corny cliche answers. Christmas isn't about me.

it's about Him.

happy CHRISTmas guys

this really has to be done

maraming bagay ang gusto kong ma-experience bago ako mawala sa mundong ito. ayan ha, mahaba-habang panahon pa naman siguro ang itatagal ko sa mundo, kaya malaking time frame pa. these are some experiences i think everyone should have at one time or another in their lives.

- if you've never been to UPLB ng pasko then you won't know what i'm talking about. to those who have, i'm sure you know what i mean. hindi ba kayo nagagandagan talaga dun sa atmosphere na nakecreate ng Christmas lights at yellow lights? ang landi landi lang. siyempre, dapat may picturan din. :)

2. mabigyan ng boquet of roses
- i'm a girl and i love flowers.

3. makipagsuntukan at manalo
- i find the mechanics, the mindplay, and the sheer barbarian-ness (anung tamang adjective ba?!) of a fistfight very interesting. although hindi ko maaappreciate ang mga bukol, bangas, at pasa na makukuha ko, maliligayahan ako sa pagkapanalo.

- ang sarap ng pakiramdam that you get to share Jesus in the way you know best, and the way i know best is through singing. kahit hindi ako super galing, gusto ko parin :)

- start making a difference in the world by making a difference to one person

9. makipaghabulan sa ulanan with someone special (who could it be? this job's too big for you and me...)
- by the way, the parenthetical is from Higglytown Heroes, the kids show sa disney channel. there is something very romantic and pretty about the rain.

10. makapagpapublish ng isang libro
- i've always loved writing.. :)

- in a wonderfully kikay color sana. with straps that don't bite into your shoulders. and a zipper, so that all my stuff won't be extruded without warning.

17. RayBan aviator sunglasses
